UEFA is the most highly-sought-after of all awards in the European football leagues. It is held each year amongst the top football clubs in the countries involved, and prizes for simply qualifying for the finals are huge –each team qualifying for the UEFA Champions League earning a cool €3 million, and the winners netting a whopping €7 million. Of course, each step along the way results in more money being thrown at the winners of that round.
Real Madrid have won a staggering nine times since the league’s inception in 1955 (and own the player who’s scored the most goals – 64, in 122 games). Italy as a country has had winning teams 11 times, and it’s results such as these that need to be studied in order to guarantee a win (or at least some money) when betting on teams in the UEFA league. Of course, there are many other factors that need to be taken into account while placing bets – factors like injuries to top players (you know, the ones that the team rely on for a decent win) that have resulted in them being out of a game or a season, which players are coming back from injury (are they coming back too soon?), current form of the individual players and the team as a whole, the weather (as it can put the teams on a more even playing field, so to speak) and the history between the teams (does one team always seem to win when the two teams play each other?). All these things need to be born in mind when placing bets in such an elite level of football.
